THE SET UP
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, children are able to: 1) identify each stage of the four stages of the life cycle of a butterfly. 2) state and explain clearly in verbal form and write up what happen at each stage of the life cycle by ICT tools – Powerpoint slide presentation 3) observe and record their information (simple manner) what happen at each stage of the life cycle. 4) to complete each task provided by teacher in relation with the life cycle of the butterfly 5) create and write a story about the life cycle of a butterfly by using – MS Word.
Materials:
· Life cycle of an insect (a butterfly ) on Microsoft Power Point slides
· A box
· A Butterfly Replica
· Computer with at least intranet connections.
· Microsoft Office
Venue : School Computer Lab with internet connections.
THE LESSON PROCEDURES
Set induction:
* Teacher will show a box and asks the pupils what is inside the box.
* Can you guess what is inside the box?
* What do you think you can find if you open this box?
* Teacher will type the answer of the students on the computer while projecting their answer using LCD projector.
* After several answers, teacher will ask one volunteer among the pupils to come forward to open the box.
* The pupils will take out the item from the box and show to the whole class.
